Divine-Being - Thought Experiement
What if every person you meet—friend, stranger, even adversary—is actually a reflection of the divine? Imagine living each day as if love and awe were not just ideals, but your default lens through which all of existence shines.
My mission in life is to generate more love, kindness, compassion, confidence, and authenticity. I do this within myself with a particular mind-frame that I would like to share. You are welcome to incorporate any part of it if you would like to. I simply offer it to this space as one would share a beautiful flower. Enjoy!
The Divine Being - We Are All God/Source/Love/Divine, etc.
The Thought Experiment:
What would happen if you were to realize that you and everyone you meet is god? (Feel free to change this word to any number of variations that work best for your vocabulary at this time. Some examples include: Source, Love, The Divine, The Creator, The Experiencer, etc...)
What would happen if you were to realize that every moment, interaction, emotion, and circumstance is a god experience? To realize that there is nothing but the experience of god happening through, around, and for you? -And there’s no way to escape from it!
What Happens to You?
If you were to embody this, what would happen to every perceived meanness? What happens to the way that you see other people? What happens to the way you see yourself? What happens to the perceived traps and shortcomings? What happens to the idea of a hierarchy system? What games would you now choose to play? How would you dress and present yourself? How would you show up each day? How would you chose to interact with all the other god-people? How would you interact with the god-world?
My View and Experience
One day it just clicked for me. The realization dawned upon me and I couldn’t look away. I simply saw it and everything changed.
I see everyone as god in disguise. I see every thing as god’s current physical expression. I see every interaction as god’s reflection. I see every emotion as a god-given honor. In this way, I have taken true responsibility for my life and it has done marvelous things to me and my worldview.
This view immediately removed any idea of a hierarchy and made me more loving and compassionate toward everyone. Why would I ever chose to disrespect a god-being? Why would I ever choose to see myself below or above another god-being? I wouldn’t. Instead, what it did was remove all barriers I had imposed upon myself and others. They were all infinite god-beings with infinite god-viewpoints in this infinite god-life.
I saw everyone as truly and inherently beautiful- regardless of how they, society, or any other person saw them. It was like being in a dark cave and by lighting a match, you realized that all the walls were composed of miraculously shining diamonds!
This viewpoint removed all separation. It removed all fear. It removed all “wanting to be better than”. It removed all fighting. It removed any feelings of unworthiness for myself and in my viewpoint of others, and any situation. It has simply made me want to celebrate!
It has also given me access to beautiful gifts that I wish for everyone to experience.
Gifts
The Gift of Confidence
I realized that I have incredible and inexhaustible confidence in myself to be able to handle any situation with grace. This does not mean that I will dominate any situation, but simply that I will be a part of any of them without fear or anxiety about the outcome. I can simply enjoy them knowing that they are another reflection of god that I am honored to be a part of.The Gift of Ease
Once the gift of confidence truly shone forth, it simultaneously triggered a second realization- there was never anything to worry about. Ever.
Ease suddenly enveloped me.
I realized that there was really only two things to do in this life, relax and enjoy.
By becoming fully embodied with confidence and ease, I realized that I could grasp success at any time. I could also “let go” or “detach” from anything that no longer served me with profound simplicity.The Gift of Patience
When confidence, ease, success, and the ability to “let go” manifested within me, I realized that there was nowhere else I would rather be than here. Now. Always. The way that looks to myself and others is an incredible reservoir of patience.
The rival of patience is the idea that you want to be elsewhere, doing something different than what is in front of you. Yet, with the idea that everyone and everything is god then how could any experience be better than the one you are enjoying now? Time and its endless “uneasy-pushing” quality simply evaporated.The Gift of Presence
With this viewpoint of everything being a god-experience and everyone being a god-being, coupled with endless confidence, ease, and patience a true fruit emerged: presence.
My eyes simply beheld everything as True Beauty.
My ears heard everything as God’s Song.
All hurrying melted.
All desire for something different disintegrated.
I simply dissolved into this life.
I simply knew this was it.
I had no reason to fall into my “trap-of-a-mind”, I had no reason to “figure-out-what-to-do/say-next”, I had no reason to “try-to-protect-myself”.
Suddenly, whatever and whoever I engaged with was the purpose of my life at that moment. All I could perceive was divine-sweetness. There was never any reason for my attention to be elsewhere. It has been marvelous.The Gift of Authenticity
With infinite confidence, ease, patience, and presence another true fruit emerged- that of being unabashedly authentic.
There was never anything to prove to anyone. There was never any hierarchy. There was never any reason to cultivate myself for someone’s approval. All that was left was to shine who I was and radiate my god-gifts- knowing the beauty of it all was for me to share!
With this view, I have become much more of “myself”. I have been able to truly participate and celebrate this life. I have been able to fully engage with deeper and “darker” emotions and situations with ease. I have been able to forgive myself and others immediately and without a second thought. I have become a dancing, compassionate person. I have been able to pursue my authentic passions without hesitation. I have been able to develop beautiful relationships more readily. I have been able to drop shame and guilt. I have stopped second-guessing and overthinking. I have been able to love more fully and tenderly. I have inspired others and I hope to inspire you too!
Play With It
What would happen if you were to realize that the Divine Reality is happening now? Right now. And you are a part of it and the one controlling it? As actor, audience member, screenwriter, and all roles of the Grand Play of Life- that this is it! You’re here!
Final Thoughts/Mantras:
To help you embody these gifts, here are a few mantras and reminders to return to throughout your day:
Letting Go - “I have the ability to let go whenever I please, of whatever I please. I can let go of whatever no longer serves me. I release and let go.”
- In existence there is nothing and nobody superior and nothing and nobody inferior. Yet man wants to be higher than others, he wants to create situations that reinforce a hierarchy, therefore he is constantly fighting. Chose the recognition that this way of thinking is finished, it has been completed.Sharing - “My whole life has become a sharing of Love. Love is an infinite abundance- overflowing compassion.”
- I am in the situation where I have opportunities to share my love, joy, and laughter! In sharing I feel even more full. There is no need to go anywhere or make any special effort.
Celebration - “Life is a moment to celebrate!”
- Love is the cure! Don’t bother with planning moments to celebrate. The party is happening all around me at every moment- every instant! Go into the day and into life with love! Fully embracing every minute of consciousness and all the experiences available!
